  22. Ok, but this is from memory (and I'm only had one cup of coffee) so if I
  23. mess up an item hopefully someone will correct me.

  25. The whole thing starts when Uncle Sam (for whatever reason) decided
  26. _not_ to produce a Project Blue Book report #13.

  28. So far as I know _nobody_ except English has capitalized on that fact...

  30. Part of English's story is that he was an employee for NSA in England
  31. (RAF Chicksands) and received a large package.  It was his job to read
  32. stuff and provide briefing material.  (Slightly along the lines of the
  33. role Robert Redford played in that movie.  The name escapes me,
  34. something about a Condor?)  This large package was alleged to be Project
  35. Blue Book Report #13.  This report is suppossed to be the Real True
  36. Secret Stuff.  (Take everythng you already know about Lear, Cooper,
  37. Krill, aliens, etc., now add lots of photographs, now add lots of
  38. comments in the margins from folks such as Hynek and you've got what
  39. English says he saw and read.)

  41. Apparently English wasn't suppossed to read this.  Next day English is
  42. fired from his job and escorted back to the US.  His wife and family
  43. wonder about his whereabouts but there is no contact at all for years.
  44. After sometime in the US, English hooks up with one or two folks from
  45. that job and they rent a van and go sneaking around somewhere in the
  46. Southwest looking for spaceships.  English is taking a whizz behind a
  47. rock and from out of nowhere a mortar or rocket hits the van blowing it
  48. to bits along with his pals...  English drifts for awhile and eventually
  49. settles down to become the fellow we now know.

  51. That's the thumbnail sketch which predates the entire episode involving
  52. the crashed B-52 in Vietnam which English, as a Green Beret, went to
  53. check out and discovered that it was actually set straight down in dense
  54. foliage (not crashed) and that the crew had been mutilated, presumably
  55. by aliens...

  59. Personally, I take particular exception to the story because it trashes
  60. Hynek in the process...
